An invitation
The café experiences including Coffee with Jesus are very personal to me after my encounter with King Jesus because He decided to visit me not when I had my head buried in multiple Bibles or doing original ancient word studies but at a time early in the morning without distraction when I was purely focused on Him.
This is the inspiration behind café.
Café is less 'Study to show thyself approved' and more 'Be still and know that I AM God.' It's about the simple pleasures of taking some time out and doing a crossword or taking a quiz or enjoying the beautiful calm of focusing on just one of your favorite verses and sucking up as much juice from it as you can.
It's also one of the primary ways you earn points on this website to advance up the ranks and friend leaderboards (if you have it activated) which it is by default. For every cafe experience you do you will also get your daily stamp which you can see in your dashboard.
What are the café experiences?
Right now we have six experiences for you to enjoy:
Coffee with Jesus: A beautiful space to take a moment and just be with Him and reflect on one of your favorite bookmarked verses or featured verse. Your own bookmarks are prioritized, but If you don't have any verses bookmarked you will simply see the hall of famer verses, but I encourage you to bookmark many as you go through the cover-to-cover Bible Challenge so coffee with Jesus becomes a personal daily delight to see which of your favorites show up for the day. The coffee with Jesus experience also has the Scripture Memory Café experience built into it if you want to memorize your verse of the day and if you do you will get two badges stamped. You get 50 XP points for completing a coffee with Jesus and another 50 if you memorize your verse.
Scripture Memory: This experience uses a scientifically proven way to make Scripture stick by using interactivity and written recall on the verse you want to remember. It's fun and enjoyable and one of the most powerful daily disciplines to make a habit of when it comes to Scripture. 50 XP Points.
