The prophet Isaiah declared, "In the former time he brought into contempt the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the latter time he has made glorious the way of the sea, the land beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations" (Isaiah 9:1). The single appearance of this word in Scripture is not a limitation but a promise — what God does in the hidden place may appear only once in your story, but that one moment will be the womb from which all your days draw their meaning. As Asher's portion contained the belly, so your portion in the Messiah contains a secret place of gestation. Do not despise the hidden years, the silent prayers, the unseen tears. For the seed of the heir is growing in the house of concealment, and when the time of fullness comes, what is born from your Beṭen will bless all the daughters of the earth.
