He is taking from your side what must be removed, and He is closing the flesh over the wound. When you awaken, you will find that a covenant partner has been formed—a new calling, a deeper faith, a revelation of His love that you could not receive while you were awake and striving. Let your sleep be holy. Let your stillness be trust. For the One who caused the *tardêmâh* to fall upon Adam is the same One who watches over you in the night. He does not slumber nor sleep, but He works in your sleep. And when the morning comes, you will arise and see what He has made.
