Yet Yeshua declared that the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath. He did not come to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it — and in His fulfillment, He dismantled every accusation of sedition. But Yeshua stood silent before His accusers, the Lamb led to the slaughter, and by His submission He crushed the head of the serpent. The rebellion of Adam was undone by the obedience of the second Adam. The creature within the court of human pride was slain by the King who rode upon a donkey.

The Creature in Your Own Court — A Call to Examine

You have seen this creature, perhaps even entertained it as a guest in the chambers of your heart. It comes not with a roar, but with a whisper — a small thought that the authority over you is unjust, that the commandment is too heavy, that your way is better than His way. The sages of Israel taught that the inclination of the heart is evil from youth, but the mercy of the Lord is new every morning. You are not the king of your own soul; you are a steward, entrusted with a kingdom that belongs to Another. When the spirit of sedition rises within you, remember the Lamb who did not open His mouth. Remember that the way up is down, and the way to reign is to serve. Let the creature of rebellion be transformed into the creature of worship, for the One who sits on the throne has overcome the world. May you find your place beneath His scepter, and may your heart never again be a court for sedition against the King of kings.
