This stone is Yeshua, the Anointed One, who is both the foundation and the builder. The early church understood that when the foundations of Babylon fall, it is because the Kingdom of God is established in its place. Yeshua said, "Upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18). The word אֲשׁוּיָה speaks of a foundation that can fall, but the foundation that Messiah lays is eternal. He is the aleph and the tav, the first and the last, the foundation that was laid before the world began.
