Paul's Handkerchief is Bible study with a difference — going word-by-word through Scripture to reclaim the Ancient Near East context, romance, and mystery that modern translations often leave behind.
Only about 3% of people around the world who start the Bible ever finish it. The 3% Club is for those ready to break that cycle — reading the entire Bible at their own pace, backed by community and tools built to make finishing not just possible, but inevitable. You also get a certificate to celebrate your achievement.
Bible Cafe isn't just Bible study — it's a personal, intimate conversation with Him. Think less classroom, more kitchen table. It combines the original Coffee with Jesus experience with activities like quizzes, crosswords, journaling and more, all designed to let the Word shape your heart, not just your head.
Most English Bibles can't carry the full weight of what's in the original Hebrew and Greek. The F.O.G Bible Project exists to change that — three new translations built publicly (a Study Bible, a Reader's Bible, and F.O.G Jr. for younger readers), plus a word-by-word renewal of Strong's Concordance restoring the depths most translations leave behind. It is Jean Paul's lifelong work, unfolding in public — and you're invited in.
Jean Paul Joseph is the lead editor of the F.O.G Bible Project. He works from a personal encounter with Jesus first, then draws on the scholarship of respected Jewish and Christian scholars — because the church was Jewish before it was anything else, and those roots change everything about how you read Scripture.

The Severed Vine That Bears Fruit
Forty-two times the voice of Scripture speaks the word sârîyç, and each utterance carries the weight of a mystery that touches the very throne of heaven. This word, pronounced saw-reece', comes from a root that means to cut away, to sever, to render barren. Yet in the economy of the Holy One, what is cut down often becomes the vessel of the greatest honor. The sârîyç is a eunuch, one whose natural fruitfulness has been taken, yet who stands in the courts of kings. You must understand this word not as a mere social title, but as a living parable of how the Almighty brings forth life from what the world calls dead.
The Root That Runs Deep
The ancient sages observed that the Hebrew root of sârîyç speaks of something fundamental about the human condition. The three letters — samekh, resh, yod, samekh — form a picture of a thorn that surrounds and a head that is lifted up. In the paleo-Hebrew script, the samekh resembles a support or a prop, while the resh is the head of a man. The word carries the sense of one who is propped up, who stands in service, whose identity is not in his own fruitfulness but in the one he serves. The KJV translators rendered this word as chamberlain, eunuch, or officer, but these are merely shadows of the deeper truth. A sârîyç is one whose personal power has been surrendered for the sake of a greater kingdom.
The First Appearance: A Gatekeeper of Righteousness
The first time this word appears in the Tanakh is in the book of Genesis, chapter thirty-seven, verse thirty-six, where we read that the Midianites sold Joseph to Potiphar, a sârîyç of Pharaoh, the captain of the guard. Here the word carries the meaning of a high official, a man of authority who oversees the house of the king. Yet Jewish tradition holds that Potiphar was indeed a eunuch, a man whose physical condition made him a trusted guardian of the royal household. How fitting that Joseph, who would himself be tested in the matter of sexual purity, should come under the authority of a sârîyç. The rabbis of old noted that the very structure of this story teaches that the Almighty often places His chosen ones under the care of those who have been stripped of natural desires, so that they might learn to serve a higher Master.
The Journey Through the Courts of Kings
As the word sârîyç travels through the pages of the Tanakh, it reveals a remarkable transformation. In the book of Esther, the sârîyç are the trusted servants who attend the queen and carry out the king's decrees. In the books of Kings and Chronicles, these officials stand beside the throne, holding the secrets of the kingdom. The prophet Isaiah, in chapter fifty-six, speaks a word that shatters every earthly understanding of this term. There the Holy One declares that the sârîyç who keeps His Sabbaths and holds fast to His covenant shall receive a name better than sons and daughters, an everlasting name that shall not be cut off. This is the great reversal: the one who was cut off from natural lineage receives a spiritual inheritance that cannot be taken away. The ancient sages taught that this prophecy opens the door of the Temple to all who are faithful, regardless of their physical condition.

The Gematria of Service and Sacrifice
The numerical value of sârîyç is three hundred and thirty. In the Hebrew understanding of numbers, three hundred speaks of the shin, the letter of the Almighty's presence, while thirty is the number of consecration and priesthood. When you combine them, you find a word that shares its value with the Hebrew phrase yivneh bayit, meaning "he will build a house." The sârîyç, though cut off from building a natural house, becomes a builder of the spiritual house of God. The number three hundred and thirty also echoes the dimensions of Noah's ark, that vessel of salvation that carried the remnant through judgment. So too, the sârîyç is a vessel of deliverance, one who carries others through the flood of this world into the dry ground of the Kingdom.
The Messianic Mystery of the Cut-Off One
Now you must lift your eyes to the greater sârîyç, the One who was cut off from the land of the living. The prophet Isaiah, in chapter fifty-three, speaks of the Servant who was wounded for our transgressions, who had no form or beauty that we should desire Him. He was cut off, as the eunuch is cut off, yet He bore the fruit of many sons and daughters. When the Ethiopian eunuch appears in the book of Acts, chapter eight, he is reading the very words of Isaiah. Philip the evangelist, filled with the Spirit, explains that this passage speaks of Yeshua the Messiah. The eunuch, who by the law could not enter the assembly of the Lord, receives the living water of baptism and goes on his way rejoicing. The apostolic tradition teaches that this Ethiopian official was the firstfruits of the nations, a sign that the Messiah's kingdom is not built on natural lineage but on spiritual rebirth. Yeshua Himself said that there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven, and that the one who can accept this, let him accept it.
The Temple Whose Doors Are Open to All
The pattern of the Tabernacle and Temple speaks deeply to the mystery of the sârîyç. In the courts of the earthly sanctuary, there were restrictions based on physical wholeness. Yet the prophet Isaiah saw a day when the eunuch would have a place within the walls of the House of Prayer for all nations. This is the promise that the Messiah fulfilled. When Yeshua cleansed the Temple, He declared that His Father's house should be a house of prayer for all peoples. The veil that separated the holy place from the holy of holies was torn from top to bottom, and the dividing wall of hostility was broken down. In the Messiah, there is neither male nor female, Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, eunuch nor fertile. All who are cut off from the tree of this world are grafted into the true Vine, who is Yeshua Himself.
Your Own Place in the King's Court
Now hear this word for your own soul. You may feel that something has been cut away from your life — a dream that died, a relationship that failed, a season of fruitfulness that never came. The world counts you as diminished, as one who cannot bear fruit. But the Holy One sees you as a sârîyç set in the court of the King of kings. Your very emptiness is the space where His glory can dwell. Your surrender of natural ambition becomes the throne from which you serve. You are not forgotten. You are not barren. You are a chamberlain in the palace of the Most High, entrusted with the secrets of the Kingdom. Go now and serve with joy, for your name is written in heaven, and the fruit you bear is eternal.
