It is Jean Paul's lifelong work, unfolding in public — and you're invited in.

He works from a personal encounter with Jesus first, then draws on the scholarship of respected Jewish and Christian scholars — because the church was Jewish before it was anything else, and those roots change everything about how you read Scripture.

צְבָא הַשָּׁמַיִם ('the host/army of the skies') refers to the stellar bodies venerated as divine powers across the ancient Near East. Rooftop worship is archaeologically and textually well-attested (cf. Jer 19:13; 2 Kgs 23:12). מַלְכָּם (Milkom/Malcam) is deliberately ambiguous: it can be read as the Ammonite deity Milcom (1 Kgs 11:5) or as 'their king' (מַלְכָּם). Both versions render it as the deity's proper name, but the wordplay cuts deep—to swear by 'their king' while professing YHWH as King is itself the indictment.
