Footnotes
νόμος (nomos) in Sha'ul's usage consistently refers to the Mosaic Torah — the covenant law-code given at Sinai. F.O.G preserves "Torah" to keep this specifically Jewish covenantal referent audible, since the audience included both Jews and Gentiles and the Torah/grace dialectic is the theological backbone of the letter. F.O.G Message includes the traditional "law," which broadens the principle for a general audience whilst retaining its covenantal weight.
