βασιλεύσῃ (basileusē, subjunctive of βασιλεύω, "to reign as king") gives grace the character of an enthroned sovereign displacing a former tyrant. ζωὴν αἰώνιον (zōēn aiōnion) is routinely rendered "eternal life," but αἰώνιον derives from αἰών ("age/era"), pointing specifically to the life of the coming Messianic age — inaugurated now and consummated at resurrection. The F.O.G renders it "age-enduring life" to preserve this eschatological texture; the F.O.G Message uses "eternal life" for its deep resonance in English theological tradition.
