διακρίσεις διαλογισμῶν is literally "judgings of inner deliberations." The word διαλογισμός spans from careful reasoning to anxious second-guessing, making the phrase ambiguous: it can describe welcoming someone without debating their practical scruples, or welcoming without sitting in judgment over their inner hesitations. The FOG renders "scruples" — the real-world, practical hesitations of the weak believer — while the FOG Message uses "doubts" to highlight the inner state of unsettled conviction, both being defensible from the word's semantic range.
