toxon / stephanos / nikon (bow / victor's wreath / conquering): Three details keep this rider deliberately ambiguous. The bow (toxon) with no arrows mentioned was the signature weapon of the Parthians — Rome's feared eastern rival — signalling unstoppable military conquest to any first-century reader. The crown is a stephanos, the athletic victory-wreath given to champions, not the diadema, the royal jewelled crown worn by the Rider in Revelation 19:12 who bears the name "Word of God." The FOG preserves the ambiguity intact; the FOG Message draws out the typological shadow by echoing the language of conquest — inviting the reader to hold this rider against the true conquering Messiah of chapter 19 and notice the key differences.
