Footnotes
ψυχή (psychē) — the Hebrew equivalent nephesh — is the animating life-force, the whole self as a living being; it is not merely "soul" in the later Greek sense but the breath-bound totality of a person. F.O.G retains "nephesh" to surface this Hebrew anthropology; F.O.G Message renders "lives" for immediate emotional impact. The threefold victory formula — the Lamb's blood (forensic: atonement), the testified word (prophetic: witness), and the willingness to die (sacrificial: martyrdom) — is the New Covenant's direct answer to every charge the accuser can bring.
