Pneumatikōs (spiritually/allegorically) signals apocalyptic code. The city wears three identities simultaneously: Sodom (moral depravity), Egypt (enslaving empire), and the city where the Lord was crucified (Yerushalayim/Jerusalem). Any city that crushes God's witnesses becomes all three. The singular ptōma for both witnesses may underscore their unity in martyrdom and coming vindication.
