The superscription *Al-Tashcheth* (literally "Do Not Destroy" or "Do Not Corrupt") appears in three other psalms (Pss. 57, 58, 59) and likely designates a known melody or liturgical category; the root *shachat* carries connotations of moral ruin as well as physical destruction, giving the heading a quiet theological undertow — this is a song sung in defiance of everything that corrupts. *Mizmor* (a melody-poem) and *shir* (song) together signal both musical and lyrical intentionality. The doubled *hodinu* ("we give thanks... we give thanks") is deliberate emphasis in the Hebrew, not accidental repetition — sustained, insistent gratitude. *Karov shemekha* ("Your name is near") is a profound Tabernacle-theology phrase: the Name of YHWH is His enacted presence, His covenant character made tangible; to say His name is near is to say He has not withdrawn. FOG retains the transliterated Hebrew terms in the superscription; FOG Message renders them into functional English equivalents for liturgical accessibility.
