The psalm closes not with private vindication but with public, universal testimony. *Pri* (פְּרִי, 'fruit/reward') implies that righteousness is not sterile — it bears a harvest, however long delayed. The final phrase, *yesh elohim shofetim ba'aretz*, contains a deliberate grammatical ambiguity: *Elohim* takes the plural predicate *shofetim* ('judging/judges'). This could be a genuine plural — 'the gods are judges in the earth' — a polemical reclaiming of all cosmic judicial authority for YHWH alone (as in Ps. 82's verdict). FOG preserves the grammatical plurality to honour this ambiguity and its ANE resonance; FOG Message renders the confession in its robust monotheistic force — the climactic declaration the whole psalm has been building toward.
