For the music director. Set to Mahalath. A contemplative psalm of David. The godless fool declares in his heart, 'There is no God.' Corrupt to the core, they wallow in abominable evil — not one of them does what is good.
For the director of music. Upon machalath. A maskil of David. The nabal says in his heart, 'There is no Elohim.' They have acted corruptly, committing vile iniquity; not one does good.
To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
For the choirmaster. According to Mahalath. A Maskil of David. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt; their ways are vile. There is no one who does good.
