For the choir director. To the tune of Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. I made a firm resolution: I would watch my words and put a bridle on my lips—as long as the wicked were anywhere near me.
For the director of music. According to Yeduthun. A mizmor of David. I said to myself, 'I will guard my ways so as not to sin with my tongue; I will keep a muzzle on my mouth'—so long as the wicked stood before me.
To the chief Musician, even to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David. I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.
For the choirmaster. For Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. I said, “I will watch my ways so that I will not sin with my tongue; I will guard my mouth with a muzzle as long as the wicked are present.”
