This verse is the psalm's pivot. All three sin-words (*chata'ah*, *avon*, *pesha*) return together, but now their trajectory is reversed: acknowledged, not hidden. The verb *lo kisetiy* ('I did not cover') directly mirrors *kesui* ('covered') in v. 1, forming a deliberate chiasm: what Elohim covers when we confess is precisely what we futilely tried to cover ourselves. *Odeh* ('I will confess, give thanks') shares its root with *todah* (thanksgiving, the thank-offering)βconfession and praise are the same gesture, collapsing the distance between penitence and worship. FOG structures the verse as a dramatic first-person sequence to honour its confession-as-declaration quality; FOG Message emphasises the active choice to stop hiding, drawing out the psychological liberation of that turn.
