Footnotes
Achai vere'ai ("my brothers and my companions") marks a shift from corporate liturgical prayer (vv. 6–7) to intimate personal declaration. The poet prays not merely out of ritual duty but from the bonds of genuine human relationship. The particle na adds warmth and urgency—"I do hereby say" or "let me now say"—making this an act of personal will and affection. The sustained echo of shalom across verses 6–8 creates a deliberate liturgical refrain.
