The word *garon* (ΧΦΈΦΌΧ¨ΧΦΉΧ) means "throat"βthe physical organ of breath, speech, and song. Its use here is deliberately anatomical and ironic: the idol possesses every organ, yet none functions. Contrast Psalm 149:6, where the living community has "the high praises of Elohim in their *garon*." The idol is a body without a nephesh; Israel's God fills living throats with praise. FOG preserves "throat" for its bodily precision and irony; FOG Message constructs the sense more naturally in English while retaining the image.
