Footnotes
*Yishlach devaro* (יִשְׁלַח דְּבָרוֹ) = "He sent His word." The *Davar* of YHWH is the agent of creation (Gen. 1), the healing command that accomplishes what it declares (Isa. 55:10–11), and — in its ultimate identification — the *Logos* of John 1:1–14 who became flesh as the incarnate healer. YHWH does not merely send a messenger but sends His own Word as the healing agent itself. *Mishchitotam* (מִשְּׁחִיתוֹתָם) = from their pits/corruption/destruction. FOG renders "the pit" (the physical dungeon/grave); FOG Message renders "destruction" to draw out the death-and-resurrection resonance of the Word who conquers corruption.
