The verbatim repetition of Wisdom's invitation from v.4 is deliberate and chilling: Folly has no original word of her own — only a mimicry of Wisdom's call. She cannot create; she can only counterfeit. The reader who has heard Wisdom's voice must now discern the fake — and the text offers no external label to help. This is the chapter's central existential test: the only things separating the two invitations are what Wisdom offers next (vv.5–6: life and understanding) versus what Folly offers (vv.17–18: stolen pleasures and death). FOG and FOG Message both preserve the verbal echo precisely to make the mirroring unmissable and its implications sobering.
