The gravity is compounded: the theft is from parents (a fundamental breach of the fifth commandment's honour), and the rationalisation ('it is no *pesha'*') reveals hardened conscience. *Ish maskhit* (a man who destroys/a destroyer) may echo the destroying angel of Exodus or simply the archetype of destructive wickedness. The one who violates the most basic human bond while denying it is wrong has aligned himself with those who unmake community. FOG renders *pesha'* (rebellion) for its covenantal weight; FOG Message draws out the casual nature of the self-justification.
