The hapax legomenon כְּמִתְלַהֲמִים (k'mitlahamim) is disputed—most render it "dainty morsels" (supported by LXX and Peshitta), though some read "like burning coals," intensifying the destructive imagery. חַדְרֵי בָטֶן (khadrei vaten, "inner chambers of the belly") suggests the words penetrate the deepest interior of a person, becoming part of them and resisting removal.
