*'Al-mavet* — literally 'no death' — is a striking and debated phrase. Some scholars read it as a simple poetic negative ('not toward death') while others hear an early canonical resonance with immortality or resurrection hope. In the Wisdom tradition, *chayyim* (life) is not merely biological existence but full, flourishing participation in covenant relationship with YHWH/Yahweh — life in the richest sense. This closing verse acts as the chapter's capstone: every contrast between righteous and wicked resolves here into life and no-death. FOG preserves the stark Hebrew compression; FOG Message mirrors it closely, allowing the theological weight to land undiluted.
