A man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the cow and store them outside the camp in a clean place; they are to be kept for the entire community of Israel as cleansing water — it is a purification offering.
A ritually clean man shall gather up the ashes of the cow and deposit them outside the camp in a clean place; they shall be kept for the assembly of B'nei Yisra'el as waters of cleansing — it is a purification offering.
And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin.
