They refused to obey and forgot the wonders You had done among them. They stiffened their necks and, in their rebellion, appointed a leader to take them back to slavery in Egypt. But You are a God of great forgiveness — gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and overflowing with faithful love — and You did not abandon them.
