No'adyah (נֹועַדְיָה, "YHWH has met/appointed") is one of only a handful of women explicitly identified as a נְבִיאָה (nevi'ah, prophetess) in the Hebrew Bible—alongside Miryam, Devorah, Chuldah, and Isaiah's wife. Her inclusion here is theologically significant: she is not dismissed as a fraud because of her sex but is placed in exactly the same moral category as her male counterparts—accountable to the same standard of true versus false prophecy (Deut 18). Her opposition to Nehemiah's God-given work carries the same weight as Sanballat's threats. FOG preserves the transliteration "No'adyah"; FOG Message uses the traditional "Noadiah." Both versions honour her as a named agent of real consequence.
