But recently My people have turned into an enemy. You tear the cloak right off the back of those who pass by peaceably — men who come home from battle wanting only to live quietly.
But lately My people have risen up as an enemy — you strip the outer cloak from off the mantle of those who pass by in trust, those who have turned away from war.
Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.
But of late My people have risen up like an enemy: You strip off the splendid robe from unsuspecting passersby like men returning from battle.
