δίδραχμα (didrachma) — the annual half-shekel temple tax required of every Jewish male over twenty, rooted in Exod. 30:11–16 and renewed in Neh. 10:32–33, amounting to two drachmas (roughly two days' wages). This is a distinctly Jewish covenantal obligation — not a Roman imposition — that funded Temple maintenance and worship. The question therefore probes Yeshua's/Jesus' relationship to Torah and the Temple itself. FOG retains 'didrachma' to keep the Jewish covenantal frame visible; FOG Message renders it 'two-drachma temple tax' to make the religious significance immediately clear.
