λεπρούς = those with tzara'at (צָרַעַת)—not necessarily Hansen's disease but any skin condition causing ritual uncleanness, making them social and religious outcasts. δωρεὰν (dōrean) appears twice in exact repetition: what was given as pure gift must be distributed as pure gift—grace received must become grace dispensed, with nothing extracted in transit.
