Βαπτιστής (Baptistēs) — "the Immerser" — βαπτίζω means to immerse, dip, or plunge fully. "Baptist" is a transliteration that has long since lost its concrete physical meaning. F.O.G renders "Immerser" to restore the bodily act; F.O.G Message retains "the Baptist" as the recognisable English title.
