μονογενής (monogenēs) — "only-begotten" or "one-of-a-kind." This is the same word used of Yeshua in John 1:14, 18 and 3:16 — the Father's only Son. Luke uses it in three healing narratives (7:12; 8:42; 9:38), each involving an only child restored from the edge of death — a pattern that typologically points toward the Father's own only Son delivered up and raised.
