Footnotes
eniauton Kyriou dekton — "the acceptable/favourable year of the Lord" — unmistakably the Jubilee (Leviticus 25:10), the fiftieth year of debt-cancellation, slave-release, and land-restoration. Yeshua stops reading at the mid-point of Isaiah 61:2, omitting "and the day of vengeance of our God" — a deliberate, charged omission His audience would have felt immediately. He announces Jubilee grace and is silent about judgment. F.O.G preserves "acceptable year" for its liturgical ring; F.O.G Message uses "year of the Lord's favour" to draw out the Jubilee warmth.
