The detail “where no one had ever yet been laid” echoes the borrowed colt “on which no one has ever yet sat” at the Triumphal Entry (19:30). Both are virgin vessels set apart for holy use, forming a deliberate Lukan inclusio around the passion. The linen shroud (sindon) also resonates with the fine linen of the Temple curtain and priestly vestments—the body of the Great High Priest laid in fitting consecrated wrapping.
