The image of the master girding himself and serving his own servants is radically counter-cultural — a total inversion of ancient social hierarchy. It foreshadows Yeshua washing the disciples' feet (John 13) and anticipates the Messianic Banquet of Isaiah 25:6-8, where YHWH Himself prepares the feast. The faithful servant's reward is not rest but deeper intimacy: to be served by the Master Himself.
