Milluim (מִלּוּאִים): Literally "fillings" — from the idiom "to fill the hand" (male' yad), the Hebrew expression for installing someone into priestly office. The ordination ceremony involved placing portions of the sacrifice into the priests' own hands, physically investing them with their role. Both versions render it "ordination offering" for clarity, though the etymological image of hands being filled with sacred duty is lost in English translation.
