"Vataki ha'arets" (the land vomited) is a strikingly visceral personification: the land is treated as a living body that becomes physically sick from moral defilement and expels what it cannot digest. Creation itself is not morally neutral — it participates in and ultimately enforces the moral order. This foreshadows the warning to Israel in v.28.
