הַדָּוָה (haddavah, "the faint, ailing one") comes from דָּוָה (davah, "to be ill, faint, languish"), here describing a woman debilitated by her menstrual condition. The word is empathetic rather than clinical — it acknowledges genuine physical suffering rather than merely cataloguing a legal status. This closing verse gathers the chapter's four groups into one summary: the zav (chronic male discharge), the man with a seminal emission, the woman in niddah (regular menstruation), and the zavah (woman with chronic abnormal discharge).
