F.O.G.Secondary
The F.O.G"This is the manner of his ritual impurity regarding his discharge: whether his body runs with the discharge or his body is sealed up from the discharge — it is his impurity."
F.O.G.M.
F.O.G Message"This is the nature of his uncleanness in his discharge: whether his body flows continuously or whether the flow stops up — he is unclean either way."
BSB
Berean Standard BibleThis uncleanness is from his discharge, whether his body allows the discharge to flow or blocks it. So his discharge will bring about uncleanness.
Footnotes
רַר (rar, "to run, drip, flow") is a vivid and rare verb for unrestrained bodily discharge. חָתַם (chatam, "to seal, stop up") is normally used of sealing documents or vessels (cf. Dan 9:24; Job 9:7). Together the two verbs cover both continuous and intermittent discharge alike, making clear that ritual impurity persists regardless of whether the flow is active at any given moment.
