*Khag YHWH* — 'the pilgrimage-feast of YHWH' — refers to one of the three annual *khagim* (pilgrimage festivals): Pesakh, Shavuot, or Sukkot. The detail of dancing daughters in the vineyards most strongly suggests Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles), a harvest celebration marked by communal joy and outdoor festivity. The unusually precise geographical directions — north of Beit-El, east of the highway, south of Levonah — may reflect an authentic ancient route marker, or signal the chilling precision with which this predatory plan was laid.
