The comprehensive destruction — grain, shocks, vineyards, olive groves — represents the entire agricultural economy of a season. Olive groves took decades to mature, making this a generational wound, not merely an annual one. The Philistines' subsequent attempt to broker justice (v. 6) rather than immediately counter-attack suggests the scale of the damage has stunned them. FOG preserves the sequential Hebrew list; FOG Message uses "raced through" to capture the kinetic, spreading nature of fire.
