The daughter's response is one of the most morally striking moments in the book of Judges: she does not protest, bargain, or flee. She insists on the integrity of her father's vow. The word נְקָמוֹת (*neqamot* — 'vengeance' or 'vindication') frames her own death as encompassed within YHWH's victory. Her faithfulness and clarity stand in sharp relief to her father's rash piety. She is arguably the moral centre of the passage — willing, lucid, and courageous. The text never commends Yiftach's vow; it commends his daughter's response to it. FOG renders 'enacted vengeance'; FOG Message uses 'avenged' to keep the emotional directness.
