It is Jean Paul's lifelong work, unfolding in public — and you're invited in.

Jean Paul Joseph is the lead editor of the F.O.G Bible Project. He works from a personal encounter with Jesus first, then draws on the scholarship of respected Jewish and Christian scholars — because the church was Jewish before it was anything else, and those roots change everything about how you read Scripture.

The assembly at *Shekhem* is theologically charged: it was here that Avraham first received the covenant promise of the land (Gen. 12:6–7), where Ya'akov buried foreign gods beneath an oak (Gen. 35:2–4), and where Moshe had commanded Israel to hold a covenant ceremony upon entering the land (Deut. 27). The phrase 'presented themselves before Elohim' (*vayityatsvu lifnei ha-Elohim*) carries solemn courtroom weight—this is a formal covenant assembly, not merely a civic gathering. FOG preserves 'Elohim' and the Hebrew place names; FOG Message draws out the covenantal significance of the location.
