Rachav's deception is narrated entirely without moral commentary — the text simply records what she did. This silence has generated rich theological debate; notably, Hebrews 11:31 and James 2:25 commend her faith rather than address her lie, letting the narrative do its own interpretive work. Yahweh's purposes consistently advance through morally complex human actors — a pattern running from Tamar to David. Both FOG and FOG Message preserve the ambiguity without editorial softening.
