The σουδάριον (from Latin sudarium, a sweat-cloth) is specifically the cloth that covered Yeshua's face. Its being deliberately "rolled up separately" (ἐντετυλιγμένον εἰς ἕνα τόπον) stands in deliberate contrast to Lazarus's resurrection, where his face cloth was still bound to him when he emerged (11:44). The careful arrangement signals that no grave robber was at work; the Risen One had passed through His wrappings and left them in order.
