Nakdimon first appears in John 3, coming to Yeshua under cover of darkness — a man hovering between faith and fear. Now he steps into full public view at the cross, bearing approximately 34 kg of burial spices. The quantity is royal, recalling the burial of kings (cf. 2 Chronicles 16:14). His arc from nighttime secrecy to costly, open honour mirrors the Gospel's sustained light-and-darkness motif: the one who came in darkness now stands in the full, costly light of the cross.
