θύρα / αὐλή / λῃστής: The αὐλή was a shared stone-walled enclosure where multiple flocks sheltered overnight under a single doorkeeper. θύρα is the one legitimate entrance point — a gate, not merely a door. λῃστής (robber/bandit) is a stronger, more violent word than κλέπτης (thief who steals by stealth) — pairing the two covers the full range of illegitimate entry, from cunning to outright force.
