*Arumim* (the crafty, the shrewd) shares a root with the term used of the serpent in Genesis 3:1—a subtle but loaded lexical echo linking cunning divorced from covenant to that primordial act of subversion. *Tushiyah* (sound wisdom, effective purpose, lasting success) is a rich wisdom term describing genuinely productive counsel. Eliphaz's point: God dismantles cleverness that bypasses true wisdom. FOG preserves 'achieve nothing of worth' to honour *tushiyah*'s positive-then-negated sense; FOG Message renders 'anything that endures' for readability.
