140 years is precisely double the standard human lifespan of 70 years declared in Psalm 90:10, extending the double-restoration motif even into the measure of Job's days. Four generations of descendants echoes the patriarchal blessing formula — most precisely Genesis 50:23, where Joseph sees four generations of descendants — enrolling Job within the stream of covenant fruitfulness. The man stripped of everything is given more than everything, including time itself. FOG preserves the grandson distinction (*bnei vanav*); FOG Message flows more naturally in English.
